A former nursing major, Joshua chose to pursue a degree in management and is now an Honors student in the School of Management, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and an alumnus of College Leadership Rhode Island, and was elected in 2009 to serve as President of the Rhode Island College student body.

As the President of Student Community Government, Inc. Joshua is focusing on the interests of the students. He truly believes that the role of the President of the Student Body is to “truly reach out to the student’s, and address their needs.” His main goals for the year are greater communication and collaboration amongst the students and the staff. If the students and staff work together, then the result will be more school wide initiatives and general improvement in Rhode Island College.
